NBA Palyoffs: It stand out from the surface because of a difference in color, value, or texture, or a combination of these. Shapes can be the illusion of weight, volume, or flatness. Realistic painters can make objects appear as more than two dimentional with the use of lines or colors.
NBA Playoffs Sometimes, shapes which are not parts of a single form are spread throughout the composition. Some paintings, like those of one Joan, contain shapes in a variety of temptations across the picture plane. They are often distinguish by color or textural areas and unified by lines drawn on the surface.  Between the shapes of figures are areas which are not occupied by any form. These areas are called negative shapes. In painting, these spaces can be as important as the shapes themselves.
